Mackeral Jack's Trading Co.
The Row's most famous madam was Flora Woods whose Lone Star Cafe at this location was a house of ill repute John Steinbeck
renamed The Bear Flag Restaurant.
Built around 1923, it was closed in 1941 with the approach of World War II. In 1942 it was replaced by a concrete warehouse.
The once prosperous madam, known widely for her anonymous charitable donations and generosity, died penniless in 1948.
